Become An Employment Specialist
- Employment specialists assist youth ages 14-21 by guiding them in job and career readiness.
- They motivate young people to pursue employment opportunities and explore different careers through work-based learning experiences.
- Employment specialists support students in finding jobs and provide coaching on how to succeed and maintain employment.
- They also help students develop self-advocacy skills within the workplace.
What Qualifications are needed for this role?
Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or prior counseling, job placement, job coaching or working within public vocational rehabilitation programs is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in related fields of education, coaching, psychology, business, and economics.
- Or associates in related fields with at least two years of experience
- Or four years of work related experience in vocational rehabilitation services.

Availability
